Exhibition sceNE 2011

A Photographic Celebration of North East England

Friday 10th June – Sunday 28th August

Hadrian’s Wall Country is the primary focus of sceNE: a fantastic new destination inspired exhibition at the Biscuit Factory this summer which will showcase the images of four top quality photographers from the north east. The exhibition, which runs from 10 June until the end of August, captures some of the finest views in Northumberland and Tyneside and celebrates the stunning landscapes and dramatic history of Hadrian’s Wall Country.

The exhibition includes 80 beautiful framed photographs featuring views from the Newcastle/Gateshead quayside to Northumberland villages, gentle streams to wild seas and from Hadrian’s Wall to the Cheviot Hills. We hope these images will inspire many more people to visit Hadrian’s Wall Country and to experience the fabulous landscapes and enjoy all there is to see and do in the area.

The Biscuit Factory is firmly established as a regional cultural destination and with the exhibition lasting throughout the summer the show will benefit from projected visitor numbers of up to 18,000.

The exhibition has enormous appeal to anyone who already knows and loves the region as well as people discovering the area for the very first time.
